2. In short
- This site does not set any cookies.
- There is no tracking, no analytics and no advertising.
- Fonts and videos are served from this site's own hosting, not from third parties such as Google Fonts or YouTube.
- Personal data is only processed when the site is delivered to your browser and when you contact me by email.
3. Hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, your browser and operating system, and the page you came from (referrer).
This serves to deliver the site securely and quickly, including protection against attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which covers the transfer to the USA (Art. 45 GDPR). The data is kept only as long as these purposes require.
4. Contact by email
If you email me, I process the information you send (for example your name, email address and message) to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR when it concerns a project, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My mailbox is hosted by Proton (Proton AG, Switzerland; the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for Switzerland). I delete messages once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods require me to keep them.
5. Links to social networks
This site links to my profiles on other platforms. These are plain links: no data is sent to those platforms until you click one. After that, the platform's own privacy policy applies.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
Just send me an email. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte).
